A little bird tells Tech Daily Dose that Sheila E., the multiple Grammy Award nominee best known for collaborating with Prince , may testify on behalf of the MusicFirst Coalition at Tuesday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on legislation that would end a longstanding royalty exemption granted to AM and FM radio. The National Association of Broadcasters, which has lobbied hard against the bills in the House and Senate, will have a seat at the witness table that will most likely be filled by Commonwealth Broadcasting CEO Steven Newberry.
