Palin's Online Offensive Outlines Priorities
A day after announcing she would resign, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin staked out national goals for herself in a 465-word missive on Facebook. "I am now looking ahead and how we can advance this country together with our values of less government intervention, greater energy independence, stronger national security and much-needed fiscal restraint," she wrote on the popular social networking site. "I hope you will join me. Now is the time to rebuild and help our nation achieve greatness!" She repeated in the posting what she said in her Friday speech that she does not need a formal title to "forge progress in America." She has been considered a likely candidate for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. As former White House adviser Karl Rove and other pundits assessed her move on the Sunday talk shows, Palin bit back with a post on the micro-blogging Web site Twitter. "Critics are spinning, so hang in there as they feed false info on the right decision made as I enter last yr in office to not run again," she wrote.
