Senate Confirms Chopra As CTO

The Senate late Thursday confirmed President Obama's choice to become the nation's first chief technology officer. Aneesh Chopra sailed through the Senate Commerce Committee a day earlier. National Telecommunications and Information Administration administrator-designate Larry Strickling did not advance on the Senate floor. At his hearing, Chopra said he would help "harness the power and potential of technology and innovation to advance our nation's goals" in the 21st century.
