Rep. Chaffetz Offers 'Cot-Side Chats'

Freshman Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, has embraced YouTube to offer a series of regular "Cot-Side Chats" -- short videos of the former business executive hunkered down on a cot in his Longworth Building office talking to the camera about some of the most pressing issues of the day. Chaffetz thought the testimonials would be an effective way for constituents to understand his reasoning behind the votes he casts. Plus the platform gets his message out faster than writing letters. Why the cot? It's to reinforce that he practices the fiscal discipline he preaches -- like sleeping in his office.

Using YouTube to get you message out is the wave of the future. There are no misquotes . Alos you get to watch the person;s denmeanor as he/she speaks. Only problem is I can't see politicians over using the new medium. BTW, first day in this blog - like it a lot!

A Custom Gates is an unusual way to add aesthetic beauty to a home landscape area or entryway. Gardens, driveways, courtyards and pool areas can all be enhanced with hardscape elements. Researching style, materials, care and designers are essential steps in planning a custom gate. Adding this personal touch will make the outdoor space of a home more beautiful, unusual, and personal.

Go Jason! I agree 100%. There is no fountain of money that can be poured out of Congress and used as discresiionary imcome for earmarks. If I ran my wood gate shop that way I woudl not last a month. Ther ceratinly woud not be anyone covering my debts or giving me special consideration in the way of an earmark.
...
