            <title>A Tech-Savvy Lawmaker&apos;s New TV</title>

<p>Tech-savvy Rep. <strong>Rick Boucher</strong>, D-Va., has a new post as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet in the 111th Congress -- and a new flat-screen TV in his office. Tech Daily Dose <a href="http://techdailydose.nationaljournal.com/2008/07/a-techsavvy-lawmakers-outdated.php">reported last summer</a> that his giant wall-mounted Samsung was a goner. The TV was an analog set he admitted was "on the edge of obsolescence." On Wednesday, we sat down to discuss his tech and telecom agenda for 2009 and a brand new Panasonic was hanging on the wall. The TV, which is used for occasional videoconferencing, hadn't been set up yet but Boucher said he looked forward to taking it for a whirl.</p>]]></description>
