"I've heard I'm on a list of people being considered as an FCC commissioner, but I'm sure at this point it's quite a long list,” Calabrese said in response to an inquiry on the topic. Although he added that as far as he is aware there is no formal process yet underway for FCC appointments. Calabrese has previously served as director of domestic policy programs at the Center for National Policy, as general counsel of the Congressional Joint Economic Committee, and as pension and employee benefits counsel at the national AFL-CIO.
