            <title>Tech CEO Council Goes &apos;Beyond The Green&apos;</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.techceocouncil.org/">Technology CEO Council</a> and the Digital Energy Solutions Campaign unveiled <a href="http://BehindTheGreen.org">BehindTheGreen.org</a> this week -- an online forum to learn about and explore how green technologies are helping to improve energy efficiency in the United States and beyond. The Web site comes on the heels of the group's introduction of <a href="http://www.techceocouncil.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=260&">Greenville</a>, a virtual green community that exemplifies what can (and in some places already is being done) to go green at home, at work and elsewhere.</p>

<p>"From higher energy and consumer expenses to global climate change, Americans are increasingly aware that our ever-increasing demand for energy has very real consequences for our economy," Council Executive Director <strong>Bruce Mehlman</strong> said in a blog post on the site. "The desire to 'go green' is urgent, and people want to learn more about how they can help." "The good news: there's a lot we can do -- right now -- if we act together," he said. The group is backed by the chief executives of Dell, IBM, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola and a handful of other companies.</p>]]></description>
