Schmidt will chat one-on-one with MSNBC pundit Rachel Maddow about the World Wide Web's role in politics and in the next presidential administration. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., visited Schmidt's turf (Google headquarters in Mountain View, Calif.) on Nov. 14, 2007 to deliver his innovation agenda and take questions from the high-tech giant's employees.
