            <title>ICANN Fueled By Rum?</title>
            <description><![CDATA[<p>The <a href="http://www.icann.org">Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers</a> wrapped up its conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Friday with a board meeting and a briefing with reporters. ICANN President <strong>Paul Twomey</strong> said this meeting was "very intense" and "very busy," thanks in part to the tropical surroundings.</p>

<p>"People were more relaxed and they got more done," he said on an afternoon conference call. ICANN Board Chairman <strong>Vint Cerf</strong> joked that the group's good spirits could be attributed to one of the U.S. territory's most important economic engines -- rum.</p>

<p>"I can't confirm that, but I still can't remember what happened last night," Twomey laughed, hinting that the potent alcoholic beverage was prominently featured at after-hours social gatherings.</p>
